We found out that the television journalist enjoys listening to the Breakfast Show (via Twitter) and we felt it was only right that he had an opportunity to join the craziness in the studio.
Dreadlock brothers: Lester Kiewit looks on while Chad Saaiman explains his hairstyle
As if that wasn’t enough excitement for Victor J, Chad Saaiman joined them in the studio.
They discussed Saaiman’s new CD The Flight but – because the guest presenter and musician share a hairdresser – the conversation turned to their signature dreadlocks! And the speed at which Bush Radio gets up video, audio and pictures.
This Saturday the 16 January 2010 , from 10h00 – 12h00, the Bush Radio 89.5 FM team will be broadcasting from our listener Cassiem “Die Bossie” Jumat’s house in Heideveld on the Cape Flats.

Cassiem who is better known to Bush Radio listeners as “Die Bossie” is a regular on the Breakfast Show and often participates in Bush Radio activities, he also helps to improve his community by raising funds and donations to schools and feeding schemes etc.
To show our appreciation we will broadcast from his home, with members of the Heideveld community. We will be discussing and highlighting issues in the community and having loads of fun!
For the past two days, online and mobile social media community site Zoopy.com (Update: Zoopy no longer does user generated content and we’ve switch to a YouTube Channel) has featured two videos featuring Shiraaz Ismail . Shiraaz hosts the breakfast show on Bush Radio with Victor J. CLICK ON PICS TO WATCH THE VIDEOS.
We are not sure why, but we think the cute and funny factor may help. On a serious note Shiraaz wanted to highlight that many young people need to learn the national anthem.
Bush Radio uses zoopy.comYouTube.com to promote the work of artists as well as some of the video productions it is involved in, like the work of the CREW , during the annual Media Kidocracy Konfrence. It is also a way in which the interns at the station get to experience the intergration of media.
