Over the past 12 years the Heal the Hood Project through the African Hip Hop Indaba and its partners have sent over 100 young people to compete at the Battle of the Year International and on various other international exchanges.

The African Hip Hop Indaba aims to encourage a sense of national pride among youth, in representing their country. It also promotes and exposes the talent of young South African artists.
