This August: Party like it’s your birthday

As we reach the legal 18 years on air with community radio broadcasting in South Africa. We will be celebrating our Birthday by supporting a number of events for the month of August.

Tableism celebrates women

Our first event for women’s month is the Cape Town Deep House Movement with Ladida entertainment and Bush Radio 89.5fm.

Brings you the women’s month of Tableism on Friday, 2nd August from 6pm.

Come join us at Jimmy Jimalo behind Long Street Café and enjoy some deep soulful house music served by our connoisseurs the likes of Ms Vivica, Melody, Anonymous dj and also paving the way for queen’s of deep will be Tozi and Liya.

Bush to Barrio

Bush to Barrio’s Experience is a collaboration with Barrio and Bush Radio 89.5fm, we are teaming up to host our Birthday Bash on Friday, 9th August: Women’s Day

This evening will culminate all the hottest local dj’s from the Bush and Barrio Crews. For one night only this will be a synergy of two worlds that will make you dance the night away.

Hip Hop won’t stop – Celebrating 10 years of the African Hip Hop Indaba

Bush Radio 89.5 FM will be broadcasting live from the 10th Annual African Hip Hop Indaba dance battles this Saturday the 18th September 2010 at the Good Hope Centre in Cape Town.

As a media sponsor for the event we at Bush Radio hope to bring this event to a larger audience who may not be able to be at the event but through 89.5FM and our online radio stream via www.bushradio.co.za we hope to give everyone a taste of the event.

The event has been organised by the Heal the Hood Project and we have been running several interviews and promos highlighting the importance of the event.

The Hip Hop Indaba starts on Friday the 17th September 2010 at Club Flatline and continues the Saturday (18 September 2010) at the Good Hope Centre.

Bush Radio’s Shamiel X will host a two-hour special from the venue on Saturday from 6pm to 8pm so tune in if you can’t make it to the Good Hope Centre.
