At the final Bush Radio Open Forum meeting for 2017 on the 5th December the annual Zane Ibrahim Volunteer of the Year award was presented to Shiraz “Cazzman” Ramjee who also hosts Retro Rewind.
The Zane Ibrahim Award recognises volunteer service that ensures the voices and interests of the community represented on-air and through the various social upliftment projects of the station and is named after the late Managing Director, Zane Ibrahim.

The Western Cape Sport Schoolwill be hosting a carnival to celebrate 10 years of producing exceptional sportswomen and men on the 24th and 25th November 2017.
The event will feature Wayne McKay as the MC, Loukmaan Adams, YoungstaCPT, SK Baleni, Karin Kortje, Zami Mdingi, 4REAL, The Rockets, Nur Abrahams, Waseef Piekaan, Jazzimandi, Kinders VD Ses, Jazz Yard Academy and more.

Thelonious Sphere Monk was born 100 years ago today. This bebop pioneer, who wrote some of the most memorable compositions in jazz, was a true original – as a person, as a pianist, as a composer.
